50 years of Southampton Boat Show

It's the biggest boating festival of its type, and Southampton Boat Show is back from the 14-22 September 2018 with a whole week of celebrations to kick of its 50th birthday.
For the boat enthusiasts out there, you are in for a real treat this year! Get set to see a whole host of beautiful boats and products from over 600 global marine brands.
As well as seeing what the boats have to offer, Southampton Boat Show will welcome special guests ready to entertain visitors throughout the day, some names including The Hairy Bikers, Steve Backshall and many more!
For those gin lovers, you can pop down to the Harbourside Gin Festival with Pegasus Life, where you will be "invited to unwind and take the time to truly appreciate a selection of handpicked gins paired by award-winning mixologists."
If science is more of your cuppa' tea, you can climb aboard the research vessel Callista, where a science of the Sea Experience will be waiting. This exhibition is part of a long-term commitment to marine conservation and will show visitors the mysteries that lay beneath the sea, especially showing them the latest technology used to keep the oceans clean and clear of plastic.
Or, can we tempt you to a VIP Platinum Experience? Where you can enjoy the boat show whilst being pampered! This ticket includes afternoon tea, with delectable cakes and scones, and an hour on-water tour on a motor yacht private lounge with stunning views, along with so much more.
Finally, if you plan on taking the kids with you there is even fun for them too. Rockley Watersports team is putting together a kid friendly attraction where children can try a new water sport or sharpen up existing skills, the activities also include paddle boarding, ideal for those that are new to water sports. All equipment will be provided, all you have to do is bring a towel and your enthusiasm!
