Depending on where you stand with your perception of caravan life, caravanning all year round will either sound like an incredible adventure or a 365-day sentence.

However, with many, if not all, aspects of touring now brought well into the modern era compared with the stereotypes of old, what's there to stop more people from staying in a caravan all year round?

Not a lot, according to adventure family, the Meeks. Parents, Tim and Kerry, sold their house to hit the road, educating their two children, Amy and Ella, along the way. Tim and Kerry, both teachers, left their life of classrooms to teach just their own two students after becoming disillusioned with the school system.

Whether it's staying on 20 caravan parks in 20 weeks, publishing books of their exploits, or saving the planet by picking up 10,000 items of plastic rubbish on their travels, the Meeks spend their family time with shared experiences, forging stronger bonds for a rewarding world of real life education through experience, independence and increasing confidence.

There are plenty of tie-ins with commercial entities to test the latest equipment, caravan launches or projects, too. While the rest of the time is spent creating films, writing articles and giving talks on their experiences for the benefit of others.

This family is proof that it is possible to continue living the adventurer's life of staying on the move, taking part in exciting events, discovering lost landscapes and learning all the time.

With no specialist equipment and the right mindset, you pick your direction and a whole family's worth of education is available at the drop of a caravan's corner steady. Not only that, but a little nous in social media and self promotion makes for all the more opportunity doors to be opened to you along the way.

Today they're living the hybrid lifestyle between home and the road, using a Swift Basecamp to keep active and agile in their activities and responsibilities. So we'll ask again...
