The Coachman VIP range continues to go from strength to strength. We take a look at the enhancements for 2019

The VIP range marks the top of the East Yorkshire company's single axle range, with only the twin-axle Laser range sitting above it. VIP caravans come in two, three, four and five berths with one possible surprise being that the top-of-the-range VIP 575 is a four berth rather than five.

A quick look at the layout shows why - the spacious 575 has a double bedroom with en-suite at the rear and more cupboard space.

It's in the detail

As you'd expect with the high-end luxury model, it's the little things that make the VIP range special. LED lighting provides under surface lighting in the cooking area and halo lighting around overhead lockers. Also new for next year is a lift-up kitchen worktop extension, giving you extra space just where and when you need it.

The soft furnishings and supporting spring construction are new too, offering the comfort and durability that Coachman is renowned for.

Coachman is also installing 'Primo' Polyplastic opening double-glazed windows this season, providing a new 13-pin car alignment cap and eye-catching 3D graphics for the exterior.

New heating and plumbing

The Alde wet central heating system has a new boiler for 2019 and a new iNet programmable LCD touch screen control panel.

To make use of all that hot water, the bathroom has a new LED downlight in the shower, a feature panel on the door, new black and chrome fittings and a new folding hanging hook. It's attention to details like these that makes the VIP feel so special.

Entertainment

As you'd expect there are all the facilities you need to entertain yourselves.

There's a dedicated TV station, two in models with fixed beds, a double USB socket for charging phones and tablet and a Status 570 aerial for TV, with integrated AM/FM/DAB reception.

New for the VIP range for 2019 is the Pioneer MVH-S100UI. This car-style radio and entertainment unit plays digital and FM radio stations and connects to Apple or Android smartphones and tablets, either by USB or 3.5mm jack cable into the aux-in port.
